PEPPERMINT

PEPPERMINT (Mentha Piperita)

This fantastic little herb has been my absolute favourite for years. I’ve been utilising it without really realising how beneficial it can be! Peppermint tea is tasty, sweet and calming but it also has a range of extra benefits…

  • Peppermint Oil has been shown to relieve the symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
  • Peppermint has shown to be effective in relieving indigestion
  • Peppermint has significant antimicrobial and antiviral activities
  • Peppermint is also a strong antioxidant and has been shown to have antitumor properties
  • There have also been studies linking to its ability to relieve pain for the Gastrointestinal Tracts and Respiratory tracts
  • Peppermint is obviously the perfect choice for cosmetics and toothpaste due to its beautiful fresh smell

So, get drinking that peppermint tea!

We’re about to start building our own Veggie Patch here so I can’t wait to grow and use my own home-grown peppermint!
